Requirements for Fashion Boutique Registration: The fashion business has been significantly more sophisticated and structured in recent years, as seen by the introduction of new fashion lines in India during the last several years. However, there is still a need for tiny fashion shops since they are conveniently accessible and provide clients with certain ranges of clothing and trends.
If you want to start such a business and believe you have the appropriate ideas to make a reputation for yourself in the fashion industry, this article will walk you through all of the licenses and registration required to open a fashion boutique.
Establishment License
Each of these company structures has its own set of registration procedures, but one component that is shared by all three is the Shop and Establishment license, which is issued by the local inspector.
Under the Shops and Establishments Act, all businesses must be registered with the local inspectorate. This must be completed within a month after establishing the business, after which a statement must be submitted to the inspector.
This statement, which you will provide to the inspector, will include the following information:
- The employer’s name
- The business’s name and address, including the postal address,
- Business category
- Number of staff employed,
- The date the establishment opened for business.
The following documents are required for registration under this Act:
- Commercial address proof
- Identity proof
- Pan Card
- Challan for fee payment
The processing charge for this license ranges from 125 to 12,500 rupees, depending on the number of employees and personnel you hire for the firm. If all of the facts in the application are accepted, a license will be provided immediately.
Trade License
- After applying and any required papers, the operator will enter your information into the computer.
- Following the payment of processing costs, a G8 receipt will be sent. This G8 receipt will include a one-of-a-kind “Registration number,” which must be remembered and cited for subsequent processing.
- Following that, a License Inspector will come to the site to check it. When the inspection and approval are finished, an email will be issued to the entrepreneur informing them of the same.
- The CSB must now be approached again and given the “Registration number.” Using this number, the operator will search the database for your information. If all of the information is correct, the operator will print the Health Trade License and cut a G8 receipt.
- After paying the licensing costs and processing fees to the operator, Municipal Corporation authorities will sign the Trade license.
Documents Required:
- A copy of the sanction plan/completion certificate/structure safety certificate from a certified architect is required.
- Key Plan
- Site Plan
- Water and sewer connections
- Rs.100/- Indemnity Bond, Rs.10/7 Affidavit, and a copy of the partnership deed, if applicable.
Registration for Service Tax
The Indian government mandates us to pay service tax if our estimated turnover exceeds 9 lakhs. The application for such registration must be completed using the ST-1 form, which may be submitted online after creating an account on the official website.
Trademark Registration
- The first step is to see if your Fashion Boutique name or emblem is similar to any existing registered trademarks. In most cases, a trademark agent or attorney conducts this search with the Trademark Office to see whether any comparable trademarks are already registered in that class.
- The following step is to apply for trademark registration. If your Fashion Boutique name/logo is judged to be distinctive, the trademark attorney will create a trademark application. If someone else already has the same or a similar trademark, you must modify yours.
- The final stage is the actual registration of the trademark, assuming that all of the required paperwork has been filed and is in order. The Trademarks Office will first check to determine if your application has previously been taken. If it has, a trademark infringement complaint will be filed. If there are no objections, it publishes an advertisement in the Trademarks Journal and if no other firms object during the next four months.
- Six months later, your trademark is registered.
